We are very excited to announce that automated make goods are now available in SpotPlan and RadioSpot, providing both our agency and publisher partners with not only a feature that delivers both time and cost savings, but also peace of mind. Not to mention, this is another radio industry first delivered by Jelli!

Before we dive into the details, let’s cover a few of the basics.

What are “make goods”?

When advertising on any medium, the publisher commits to a certain number of spots/ad placements that will run on a specific station, daypart, timeframe, etc. Sometimes there may be a sports event that runs long or a breaking news story interrupting normal programming and an ad may need to be moved. This is when a “make good” comes in.

Radio stations want to do a good job handling make goods. They value their relationships with buyers and advertisers and take care to ensure things run smoothly. However, post-buy analysis takes valuable time to complete.

What if we told you that you don’t have to worry about make goods anymore?

Jelli is here to make your life easier…

For the first time, automated make goods exist in the world of broadcast radio. This feature enhancement is a big deal! On average, we are seeing a 67 percent decrease in ad under-delivery and compliance has increased to more than 99 percent for our customers.

What’s the Benefit to Publishers?

Processing individual make goods takes time. Automated make goods replace what has traditionally been a manual process with an automated one, saving you time and allowing you to improve "in-flight" delivery compliance. Most importantly, it ensures that advertisers are happy which will keep them coming back.

What’s the Benefit to Agencies?

It's a fact of life that sometimes ads are missed. Automated make goods ensure that airplay is maximized and that advertisers receive the coverage they expect. Radio campaign post-buy analysis is a complicated process, but our system will automatically catch any misses and immediately find a solution, saving you time and keeping your clients happy!

Here’s how it works:

SpotPlan

In SpotPlan, you can now elect to automate make goods when creating new plans or editing existing plans. In order to make your life a little easier, automated make goods will be the default setting when you create new plans.

By automating make goods, SpotPlan can handle make goods as long as the following conditions are met:

  1. Within campaign flight
  2. In the same broadcast month
  3. On the same station
  4. Within the same daypart

RadioSpot

In RadioSpot, just like in SpotPlan, publishers and broadcasters can now elect to automate make goods when creating new plans or editing existing plans.

By automating make goods, RadioSpot can handle make goods as long as the following conditions are met:

  1. Within campaign flight
  2. In the same broadcast month
  3. On the same station
  4. Within the same daypart
